The distinction that matters
Generating an image and producing one are different jobs.
Generate
Invent from a prompt. Fast, surprising, unrepeatable — and structurally unable to match a brand, because there is no brand in the loop, only a description of one.
Good for concepts and moodboards.
Produce
Take a design a human approved and change only the parts that are allowed to change. Same layout, same type, same logo, in the same place, every time.
Required for anything a customer sees.

Unmarked design isn't editable.
Only slots change. There is no instruction to ignore.
Image slots can be folder-bound.
A bound slot rejects anything outside its folder — an agent cannot reach for an arbitrary image.
Unknown slot names fail loudly.
422 with the offending name, no credit charged. A correctable error instead of a plausible wrong image.
Only published templates render.
A half-finished draft is unreachable.
Every render is attributable.
Logged against the key that made it.

Questions
- Can AI agents generate on-brand images?
- Yes. Anjin Design exposes an MCP server so an agent can discover your templates, read each one's slot contract and render from it — without being able to change layout, type or colour.
- How do I connect Anjin Design to Claude?
- Run claude mcp add --transport http anjin-design https://api.anjin.design/mcp with an Authorization header carrying your API key. It works in Claude Code today and in any MCP client that can send a header.
- What stops an agent producing off-brand images?
- Structure rather than instructions. Only slots you marked can change, image slots can be locked to an approved folder, and an unknown slot name fails with a 422 and no credit charged.
- How is this different from an AI image generator?
- A generator invents from a prompt and cannot repeat itself. This fills slots in a design a human approved, so the layout, type and logo are identical every time — which is what anything carrying a client's brand needs.
